Dedicated to Mom, the greatest Mom there can ever be

What can I say about Mom? There's so much I could say, and it would never be enough, but here I go.

Mom was everything to me. She was kind, loving, caring, strong, faithful, and the person I knew I could count on above all else, no matter what. She had a way to make you feel good, make you smile, especially when she smiled, and make you laugh, make you feel like all hope is there, even when it felt so forlorn.

When I look in a mirror, I see Mom in me. I have always known, and I always will, that I am who I am cause of her, and I am very thankful for that. She definitely raised me right, and I thank God as always.

She wrote a poem a long time ago after she came out of a coma of hers when I was in high school, and I wanted to put it on here. Below, you will see it:

Mom's Poem

The following are the words exactly as she put it:

"In Faith, In Hope, And In Love"
Never was there such a commotion
As there was that day in the forest,
Bubbling and roaring and churning
Like the tempo of a mighty waterfall
Of emotions and of fear....
Like old wagons circling in the dust
Every creature sat watching and waiting,
Their eyes on their beloved Unicorn
And her children huddled in the spotlight
Of terror and disbelief, mingling in
The shadows of numbness and trembling
In the valley of quiet desperation.
"She's dying,"chattered the Monkey,
"Who will take care of her children?"
"Have faith," murmured the Lamb,
"Join ranks with the hearts of prayer."
"Merciful Father," honked the Goose,
"There's no one to take her place!"
"Have faith," murmured the Lamb,
"Join ranks with the hearts of prayer."
"Terrible sadness," grumbled the Bear,
      "I will miss her friendship!"
"Have faith," murmured the Lamb,
"Join ranks with the hearts of prayer."
"Life's unfair," roared the Lion,
"To take her away so soon!"
"Have faith," murmured the Lamb,
"Join ranks with the hearts of prayer."
"No hope," howled the Wolf,
      "Can't face her passing away!"
"Have faith," murmured the Lamb,
"Join ranks with the hearts of prayer."
"Unbearable pain," cried the Giraffe,
      "Lord, we need a miracle!"
"Have faith," murmured the Lamb,
"Join ranks with the hearts of prayer."
"Forgiving God," moaned the Elephant,
      "Be kind to her soul!"
"Have faith," murmured the Lamb,
"Join ranks with the hearts of prayer,"
"Hold hands with the glad of heart, and"
"Listen to the soul of the Savior of men;"
"As He was with Moses so He will be with you,"
"Always there, holding you in the palms of His"
"Hands in Faith, in Hope, and in Love."

I miss her more than anything in this world, even times where I feel sad or want or do cry, but at the same time, I think how glad I am to have all the wonderful times with her and look forward to seeing her again sometime in the future in Heaven.

I am so glad to have my girlfriend with me. I knew I would need her, I told her so, and she has definitely been there for me, especially when I needed her the most, to get through this.

Things are better, and I look forward to now and the future, as Mom would want it. God bless Mom, God bless us all.
